Ultimate Summer Getaway: Northern Escape 2010 (Day 1)

Life is known only by those who have found a way
to be comfortable with change and the unknown.
Given the nature of life, there may be no security,
but only adventure.
~Rachel Naomi Remen

I have long been waiting to get out of my couch, and do a full swing to beat our lazy summer solstice. Another successful getaway with a new set of weekend travelers, from sampling authentic Ilocano delicacies, to souvenir hunting, Visita Iglesia, R&R at Blue Lagoon, learning more about Ilocos History and Marcos Regime, to our super long, bumpy road trip. Not my first time, but exploring Ilocos still excites me.

Plunge into the World’s Largest Swimming Pool

This hot, hot, hot summer, I want to chill off the coast of Chile and plunge into the a £1billion swimming pool of more than 1,000 yards long, which covers 20 acres and a depth of 115 ft.

This dream summer destination is acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Largest Swimming Pool.

Chronicles of Mt. Pulag Adventure

Destiny is not a choice, it is a chance.
It is not a thing to be waited for,
it is a thing to be achieved.

~ William Jennings Bryan

I am in for a bit more reminiscing after writing about our Sagada Adventure here. But before that awesome trip, there was first Mt. Pulag story.

Scaling Mt. Pulag or Mt. Pulog in 2005 was probably the biggest challenge of our mountaineering life. Being passionate with our scaling mountains and advocating love for nature, I only dreamed of reaching it’s peak and I’ll be the happiest person ever. By far, the most thrilling and overwhelming adventure I had organized in my life.
