First Night in Thailand

Alice came to a fork in the road. “Which road do I take?” she asked.
“Where do you want to go?” responded the Cheshire cat.
“I don’t know,” Alice answered.
“Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.”

Did I mention we are crazy over Cebu Pacific’s seat sale?

November 2009 was an ordinary month until the Zero fare came out.  Everyone went mad, and booked tickets around Asia, even if the travel date entails almost 10 months of waiting. Everyone including us.

We got our tickets from Clark to Bangkok for only P544 for 4 persons. Wooah, not kidding. It’s the cheapest airfare ever next to our Indonesia flight. We scored Bangkok to Manila tickets at P803.00 per person. Not bad either. I wonder when can I chanced upon sale tickets to Paris, Greece, New Zealand, and the like?

3-Days Bangkok Itinerary

It’s our first time in Thailand, so we decided to dig deeper into it’s heritage and wander around the country’s capital, Bangkok.

We only have 3 days to indulge with Thai’s culture, food and adventure, although I must admit that the Land of Smiles is worth coming back again and again. I never really said goodbye, because my intuition tells me that I’m going to see it again soon.

So many temples to check out in one day, and then there’s shopping. I’ll go crazy on both.

Surabaya Night Train and Around Jakarta

After our Bromo Sunrise Tour, we returned to our hotel for a quick breakfast at half past 9 in the morning.

An hour later, we were ushered to the van that will take us to Surabaya. No one really mentioned that as we reached the town of Probolinggo, near the registration area, we have to switch vehicle. To our surprise, all those going to Surabaya will take the public Aircon bus. We left some fellow tourists waiting for their service to travel back to Yogyakarta or further to Ijen and Bali. We were with the other couple who is heading to Surabaya airport.

Ultimate Holiday : Bromo Sunrise Tour

I was concentrating hard on my breathing while whispering to myself… you can’t be out of breath, only few more steps and you’ll get there. Oh, that kid is tough. I wish I was a kid. I can do it. Okay, breath in, breath out. Forward now, move your butt! Ah, i need to take 5, what?!

Weekend Photo #15 : Lost in Bromo

His feature is striking, he seems calling my name. Perhaps he’s lonely. He needs a company to cheer him up.

On the Road : Yogyakarta to Bromo Overland

Trishaw or Becaks are a popular transportation in Yogyakarta. Here they lined up along the street and wait for passengers to carry to the nearby destinations.

Sleepless in Java, Indonesia

These ancient masterpieces of Hindu architecture is more beautiful and intricate than Borobudur Temple. It feels eerie to touch something historical as this site. It is as if it bounces an immeasurable energy to tell everyone it’s bygone story beyond the massive ruins.
